Watch the fight and decide who really won. The judges are said to give 10 to the fighter who threw more punches and landed more punches. Manny Pacquiao may have not knocked Marquez out but he threw more punches and landed more punches than Marquez did.

The Philippines supplies the most numbers of seafarers in the world. OFW seafarers can be found in any type of ships may it be a cargo ship, salvage vessel or cruise ship. Meeting a Filipino seafarer in a non Philippine ship is like finding a peanut in a rocky road ice cream it is typical.
The POEA gave Filipino seafarers an exemption to have their Travel exit clearance or OEC validated. They only need deployment papers from their agencies or employers, seaman’s book and passport. Seafarers normally take 1 month to two months of break from work before returning for another tour.
Why did POEA Revoke the Exemption?

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs they are planning to close twelve Philippine Embassies by the end of 2012. This move aims to save 100 to 150 million Pesos each year. The Philippine Embassies that will be closed has not been announced yet but the Embassy in Venezuela and another in Easter Europe are possible candidates though it has not been confirmed.
The criteria for choosing which embassies to be closed will be based on....
An OFW will work hard away from home. One of the reasons why Filipinos are hired is because we have an image of being hard working. The work that you do in the Philippines is usually lighter compared to a work routine in a foreign country. This is because OFW employers pays a recruiter or a head hunter to supply them with Filipino workers, and they want to recover that investment through an OFW's productivity.
The last thing that we OFWs would like to hear is the death of a fellow OFW. This is hard both to the friends and specially to the family of the OFW. There is extra stress to the family of the deceased OFW if it happened abroad. The body of the deceased has to be sent back to the Philippines and the relatives of the deceased will not be able to do this themselves. It is usually the Philippine Embassy who takes care of the process for the family of the OFW.
Good news for the thousands of registered Filipino nurses and caregivers who wants to go abroad. Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) in cooperation with the Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS) are now accepting applicants for Japan.
Pre-employment orientation shall soon commence for qualified appl icants who have registered online and maintained an active status through the POEA eregistration system via www.poea.gov.ph. Knowledge of the Japanese language is an advantage..

Administrator Carlos S. Cao Jr. yesterday clarified that the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration has no lending facility for overseas Filipino workers after a suspect was nabbed allegedly for collecting fees from applicants for a cash loan from the POEA.
Administrator Cao said a couple from Zamboanga City sought help from members of the POEA security officers when the alleged fixer failed to give them the amount they were borrowing. The couple named the suspect as Ronnie F. Soner a.k.a. Ronnie Montillano and identified him from a surveillance video recorded at the second floor of the POEA building.
